B and C Skeeter to have separate start in the
Annual Northwestern Regatta
At the annual regatta meeting in Oshkosh January 29th, the BoeCraft agenda proposal to have a separate start for B skeeter was approved with a friendly amendment to add C skeeter to the same start.
At future regattas, when there are at least four boats racing, B-skeeter (Boe-Craft and Yankee) and C skeeter will race together with their own race.
The C skeeters from Menominee are looking forward to participating in the regatta again after a long absence.
All Trophy Winner and Series Champion data is now Complete.

Did you know that Bill Boehmke also built soft water boats?
Many may have known that Bill built a number of X boats and a lot of wooden masts and booms for sailboats back in the day, but Bill even tried his hand competing with the likes of Chris Craft and Century.
A fellow Boe-Craft owner sent in the following information:
Did you know that Bill Boehmke designed and built a 16 ft runabout in the late 40's or early 50's? When I first got it back in the late 70's it had a decal just like the one shown on your web site but it said Crystal lLake,IL I know he was famous ice boat builder and I tracked him down in Belvedere,IL on the phone. He said he built this neat little boat as a prototype but it didn't pan out for him because he couldn't compete with Chris-Craft and Century. It is 16 ft long and made out of mahogany plywood. It has a Chis- Craft Model "K" 6cyl. flat head engine. Jerry Stouffer

Boe-Craft Regatta Results
The Inaugural Boe-Craft Regatta for 2010 is officially in the record books. The first day of racing took place with 15 to 18 MPH winds on deceptively smooth snow-covered ice. 11 Boe-Craft skippers were on the line for the 3 races that were scheduled. Numerous position changes took place each lap throughout the regatta, making for great competition. Mark roundings, both windward and leeward, were exhilerating.
Significant winds on Friday night made the course unsailable. The huge drifts created by the heavy northeast winds range from 6 inches at the windward end of the ice to over 18 inches at the leeward end. Early Saturday morning the decision was made to call the Regatta complete.
Congratulations go to Steve Schalk and Sparky Lundberg who finished first and second respectively.
Special thanks to Mary Jane Schalk, Burly Brellenthin, Chuck Kaye and Andy Kretschmer for scoring and officiating the races on Friday!
